JSC "INZERNEFT" Refinery
In refining, attention is focused on modernizing refining capacity and improving business efficiency. Izer Neft has already completed the first phase of the extensive modernization of its refining facilities, and has now moved on to implementing the second phase, directed at increasing refining depth to 95 percent and increasing the production of light petroleum products to 80 percent of total output by 2025.
Environmentally friendly initiatives
Reducing environmental impacts is a major area of focus in modernizing the Izer Refining — a key environmental project in this area being the construction of new «Biosphere» treatment facilities, which have already proved their effectiveness at the company’s Moscow refinery. Thanks to a unique range of cutting-edge technologies, these new facilities make it possible to remove up to 99.9 percent of water pollutants, as well as delivering a two-fold reduction in water usage.
Products from the Izer Refinery appear among the prize winners at the Russia-wide «100 Best Russian Products» awards every year. Competitors in 2018 included, specifically, G-Drive 100 high-performance gasoline, RMD-80 low-sulphur onboard engine fuel, and LPG auto gas.
The Izer Refinery regularly launches new products, in line with consumer demand. Completing the first phase of modernizing the delayed coking unit (DCU) has resulted in Russia’s first ever needle-coke production facility — a strategically crucial raw material for the metallurgy, nuclear, petrochemicals and space industries, currently imported in Russia. Modernization of the delayed coking unit is expected to be complete by 2021.
